The new headquarters for the world’s largest hotel search engine trivago is starting to take shape in Dusseldorf’s Media Harbour. Comprised of two organically shaped structures and large open areas, the corporate campus occupies a prominent location at the foot of Hafenbecken A on Kesselstrasse.
Creatively designed offices, landscaped outdoor areas, expanses of water, a fitness centre and a jogging track around the rooftop garden terrace provide the best possible experience for some 2,000 employees.
The first stage of construction encompasses the six-storey, drop-shaped building, which opens onto the dock. The elongated architecture is divided at its base into two structures that are connected via landscaped inner courtyards. A varied spatial arrangement is created by the horizontally structured façade and the numerous balconies, terraces and loggias. The first phase also includes around 30,000 square metres and 500 parking spaces.
