The project included the construction of a new office building for the U.C.M. (l’Union des Classes Moyennes) at their existing site in Wierde (Namur). STRABAG Belgium was responsible for the closed carcass and the finishing including techniques. The new building created an additional office surface area of 5,800 m² for U.C.M. while attention has been paid to energy efficiency. Thus the ventilation system is completely integrated into the building. Ventilation is provided by air cooled rainwater. Another energy saving measure was the incorporation of movement sensors into the ceiling to regulate lighting and so save more energy.
