Located within the Regency Hotel, UMBRA Urban European Dining is a contemporary restaurant project designed to merge elegance with comfort, creating an atmosphere where every guest feels both welcomed and intrigued.
The concept takes inspiration from the interplay between light and shadow — a theme that flows naturally through the space, influencing the choice of materials, textures, and forms. The name “Umbra” itself becomes a narrative element, guiding the design approach towards a sophisticated yet warm interior.
The entrance sequence sets the tone with a striking combination of tactile finishes, integrated lighting, and a carefully composed tambour area that transitions guests into the main dining zones. From the bar area with its refined detailing to the seating arrangements that balance intimacy with openness, every element was designed to enhance the dining experience.
Special attention was given to the layering of textures and the use of a muted yet expressive color palette. Golden accents, mirror reflections, and bespoke decorative elements enrich the visual depth of the restaurant, creating moments of surprise and subtle luxury.
