This project is convert to a cafe from the one-story office on the side of the road approaching a shrine.
Since the road approaching a shrine is crowded, it was necessary to plan a cafe that would be easy for those people to visit.
The road approaching a shrine has a green space between the planned building, and I felt that the planned building was too abrupt and direct to the green space.
Therefore, in order to smoothly guide visitors to the store from the road approaching through the green space, we decided to plan a semi-outdoor porch using a part of the indoor part of the planned building.
We feel that the planned porch has created a seamless connection between the green space and the interior.
We planned a sketch wall paper, a nursing room, and a restroom with diaper changing facilities in the store to make it easier for customers with children to spend time in the store.
We selected wood, white, and blue-gray as materials to create a store that would be comfortable for a variety of customers.
Our goal was to create a café with a friendly atmosphere along the greenway where people of all ages could gather.
