Upside down single-family house

The Upside down is a single-family house located in the middle of a new development area in Zwingemberg, in the Bergstraße district in southern Hesse, Germany. The idea of the architect was to play with different volumes in order to create three dimensional geometries in fassade and give them a dialogue between the inner and outer spaces of the building and the sourranded area.

The project is composed of three cubes on the ground floor and a floating bar on the upper floor. The offset creates a covered entrance, as well as two roof terraces. At the main floor the cubes are combined and each one contains a different area (parents, children, garage). The upper floor is shared between the kitchen and living area which stand out from the confines of the surrounding buildings and creates generosity and freedom in the interiors through the views of with spectacular views over natural sceneries around.

Material Used :
1. White plaster, facade
2. Metal tiles, main entrance
3. Pure concrete, Stairs
4. Oak smocked brown Parquet, Floor
