Vandebron, a Dutch green energy supplier, chose a former machine factory built in 1901, just a short walk from Amsterdam Central Station, as the home for its new headquarters. The building's industrial heritage and sustainability credentials made it a natural fit for the brand. Parella handled the real estate advisory and location strategy, identifying and securing the right building to match Vandebron's identity and ambitions, then overseeing the full project from planning and budgeting through to handover.
The interior was designed by Hollandse Nieuwe, who introduced a new spatial structure into the historic shell while preserving what made it special.
Across 1,600 m², the design works with the building rather than against it. Steel columns on the ground floor and timber roof structures in the upper levels give each floor its own character, while the overall layout makes it easy to see across the space and find your way around and collaborate effortlessly. The result is headquarters that feels both grounded and adaptable, one where industrial heritage and modern ways of working sit comfortably side by side.
