A 2,000-square-foot apartment in Pune’s Panchshil Towers, the home explores the space between modernity and tradition. Designed for a couple with roots in Kashmir and years spent across India, the home embraces a contemporary Indian interior that feels familiar yet unbound by convention. Warm red oxide, exposed concrete, teak and white surfaces establish a restrained architectural rhythm.
The red oxide floor flows continuously through the home, contrasted by the cool grey ceiling and softened by white surfaces. Designed in-house teakwood furniture, introduces an ornate indian vocabulary through contemporary proportions and cleaner lines, featuring our custom designed teakwood pillar anchors the entrance. Artworks by contemporary Indian artists bring the present into dialogue with tradition, creating a home that is rooted yet contemporary, restrained yet expressive.
