Interior design apartment, Vienna 2024
The "Danube Flats" tower is the largest residential tower in Austria. We designed the tower and spent almost 12 years on the project.
Our office also got the opportunity to work on the interior design of maybe the most impressive penthouse in the tower.
The duplex apartment has a two-story living room 100 m above the ground.
A spectacular view to the city center of Vienna with its vibrant and color full night life in the city is the central element.
The materials are reduced to a very raw and pure overall expression. Exposed concrete, brass, stainless steel and glass keep the focus on the extraordinary view.
A terrace with Ginkgo trees frames the view and strengthens the relation to nature. Built in planters are located indoors and outdoors and connect the open living room space. This private “sky garden” also offers a whirlpool.
The master bedroom and its bathroom is also very open and transparent. The generous space offers a view to the Danube in the morning sun. Thus the bathroom is an extended living room.
The art piece by Günther Dreger, in the central living room, is related to the client and improves the acoustical situation in the room.
