"A functional and human-sized space"
From this request expressed by the Client during the initial inspection, in a totally rustic environment, the design proposal of the Studio was born: a living area that through targeted custom-made furnishings does not open immediately to the visitor's eye, but rather brings him to discover the internal environments.
We therefore opted for a low portal, chromatically dark, emerging from the perimeter wall, which opens as a focal point leading the user inside the house organized around a central suspended piece of furniture, having the dual function of acting as a container and in the at the same time generate two distinct environments: living room and kitchen - dining room. The latter is the most intimate part of the house, deliberately hidden, characterized by the presence of strong natural lighting dictated by the presence of a large sliding window that divides it from the outdoor garden to be understood as its natural extension, in sharp contrast to the living room. , characterized by a smaller window opening and a lower amount of natural light.
The furniture consists in its entirety of custom-made elements designed by the Studio following the specific needs of the Client, to be added to other design elements with which to bind, deliberately light in form, so as to guarantee the spaces as much airiness as possible. From a chromatic point of view, we opted for white and neutral walls that could create a backdrop from which the bright colors of the accessories emerge, aimed at making the environment sparkling and at the same time better identifying the spaces.
An internal iron staircase, suspended, then leads to the sleeping area above, where we find the bedrooms, a study and their respective service bathrooms. Through full-height cuts of light made in the wall, we wanted to emphasize the ascending trend of the structure, giving verticality and breadth to the environment, completely in contrast to the nearby corridor, more intimate and on a human scale.
From here we have access to all the rooms, including a master bedroom characterized by an initial full-height walk-in closet that could act as an entrance - filter, a wooden paneling with a central bed and a private bathroom in dark tones, a study with a small suspended equipped desk, a single bedroom and a master bathroom, characterized by neutral tones.
