Perched on the rocky southern coast of Es Cubells, between breathtaking reddish rock formations and the celeste blues of the sea, stands Villa Infinity. This traditional Ibizan finca has undergone numerous transformations to suit its residents' evolving needs over the years. Despite its undoubtedly privileged location overlooking the infinite horizon above the sea and the Pityusic islands, the house required a series of updates to embrace a contemporary, grounded lifestyle, appropriate to the balearic locus.

A young couple and their family envisioned Villa Infi nity as a haven for themselves and their frequent guests. Drawing from their extensive travels and real-estate experience, they aimed to create a home refl ecting their hospitable nature and appreciation for fine craftsmanship, art, and the inherent virtues of the property.
Collaborating closely with the owners, who were familiar with the house's dynamics, we retold its story and shifted its perception, from the first impression to daily inhabitation. Spaces were rearranged to group the house's social areas harmoniously, spilling over into open-air patios. Every design decision, from major gestures to minute details, was imbued with meaning and a sense of ceremony.

To warmly welcome guests, the entrance was reimagined as a sheltered patio beneath an extensive wooden pergola. Offering glimpses of the interior, this threshold area is dominated by a proud olive tree rising from a shallow water feature. This generous welcome culminates as the heavy pivot doors open to the interior of the house or the garden.
The previously fragmented common living spaces were unified into more ample and stimulating arrangements that narrate stories of daily life as rituals of inhabiting. The central staircase was remodelled into a prominent sculptural element of the interior landscape.

In the garden, the pool defines the plot's edge, blurring the line between water and views. Various lounges and an outdoor gym are nestled inside stone enclosures or beneath pergolas, creating clusters of relaxation and togetherness.
Private areas unfold in seclusion, filtering away the intensity of the house's social life and allowing a deeper connection to oneself. Each of the five guest bedrooms, scattered across the ground and first floors and the annex by the pool, has its own ensuite bathroom with special amenities and corresponding terrace exits. The kids' room features a playful and flexible setup for games and relaxation. Exceptionally, the Master suite boasts its own private terrace with unique sea views and a lush roof garden lounge, ideal for stargazing.

A congregation of fine natural and handmade materials, meticulously worked by experts in their fields, meet the local vernacular to compose a rich tactile palette.
To blend softly into its surroundings, the exterior shell features soft-edged rendered volumes that adhere to the local vernacular, framed by dry stone-clad boxes where Ibizan rocks fit together in irregularly sculpted shapes.
The spaces between the enclosed volumes are sheltered and extend to pergolas with chestnut-frame canopies, filled with wicker.
Flagstones bridge garden paths with selected interior areas, while concrete screed paves the rest of the floor surfaces. Metal windows with muntins frame the views from inside. Rendered arches and sculpted niches grace the interior walls.

The woodwork, extending from doors to ceiling beams and custom-made cabinetry, elevates the experience of an opulent sanctuary and highlights the finca's grounded heritage in a contemporary approach.
The additional layer of furniture and artworks, either made specifically for the needs of the project or carefully selected from bespoke collections, bring a new character to the property reflecting a contemporary and personal style.
With a minimalist aesthetic and warm ambiance, every detail embodies the island's spirit with timeless elegance. Villa Infinity retains its character with an optimistic nod towards its future that blends architectural finesse with island heritage.
