An architecture that comes from the archetype of the house, the pitched roof, as we would have designed it when we were children, which descends to the ground and generates a scenographic entrance, which embraces the guests, to culminate in a stretch of water in which reflects a world upside down.
The Villa is located in the countryside of the Hyblean plateau, under a sky so low that you can almost touch it, lost in the texture of the white dry stone walls adorned with olive and carob trees. The idea was to draw a sign, simple but full of values and images: the profile of a roof. And then extend it, generating a dynamic direction along which to insert volumes, materials, lights. Around this broken line, solids, voids, volumes, plates dance, but above all colors and materials such as wood and water, contained by an infinity pool on the entrance garden. Everything is in balance with the whole and each architectural element is like an instrument of an orchestra, which reaches its maximum expression only when it comes into harmony with the others. Hence, the entrance stairway, the swimming pool, the porch, ... not only pose themselves as objects with a strong characterization, proportionate in their singularity and capable of communicating their function, but above all they interact with each other, giving life to a system choral and a welcoming and extraordinary stage backdrop.
