Exclusive floors and walls that are “made in Margraf”
Margraf marble plays a starring role both inside and outside Villa Marilena: an interesting new construction designed by the architect Fabio Costa that stands just a short distance from the coast in the Province of Trapani (Italy).
Walking through the private villa is a spellbinding experience that builds to a crescendo of style and beauty. There is a unifying atmosphere throughout the different rooms, which have “bespoke” and tailored solutions and details dotted throughout them.
At the entrance, you are welcomed by stunningly attractive brushed Giallo Ducale marble featuring warm hues ranging from cream to hazelnut, with rare ivory veins. It really brings out the best of the Emperador Dark that adorns the wall by the stairs like a work of art. The latter marble also covers the treads and risers on the second flight of stairs, whereas the white first flight is covered with a technical material known as Bianco Thassos composite stone. Both are arranged at 45° to give a distinctive visual continuity effect.
Bianco Thassos composite stone makes another appearance on the modern, minimalist kitchen countertop, thus highlighting the natural marble features once again.
Upstairs, the bathrooms are also embellished with Margraf marble, which has been masterfully laid in book-match style. The predominant role in the master bathroom is played by Port Laurent, whose black tone and golden veins are the perfect match for Giallo Ducale, resulting in a particularly elegant and refined atmosphere. The guest bathroom is made wonderfully bright by Picasso Gold, which has a rich yellow background against which dark brown fossil roots are plain to see.
Finally, a visual sense of connection between the interior and exterior is established by the outdoor flooring, which is given an exquisite touch by the free-length slabs of rough Giallo Ducale with sawn edges covering its entire surface.
