Villa T
Andrés García Lachner

Terraces of Light

Set on a hillside overlooking the Pacific, Villa T is a quiet observatory for the sunset. Facing west with long eaves that frame the horizon, it embraces the movement of light and the gentle drift of the ocean breeze. Rooted in the essentials, the house seeks a calm, elemental architecture that opens fully to the colors of dusk while offering refuge in the shadows of its deep overhangs.

With an internal area of 500m² arranged across two levels, the villa adapts to the natural slope of the land, creating a layered spatial experience that connects architecture and landscape. The master bedroom is set apart from the main volume, linked by a glass-and-wood bridge that offers moments of pause while moving through the house. Below, a sheltered terrace emerges from the terrain, forming a quiet, shaded retreat for yoga and meditation, surrounded by the sounds of nature and filtered light.

Characterized by its generous covered terraces and large overhangs, Villa T achieves a seamless blend between indoor and outdoor living, framing views while inviting the breeze and light into each space. These outdoor rooms become an extension of the house, encouraging social activity in a warm and welcoming environment thanks to a carefully curated palette of natural materials that soften the transition between architecture and landscape, allowing daily life to unfold in harmony with the rhythm of the setting sun.
