The existing school building stands in stark contrast to the church and hall complex in style and detail and has undergone numerous alterations over the years becoming less significant in the group and in the process impacting the heritage significance of adjoining items. It was decided the new works must bring together the various parts of the school building into a cohesive aesthetic. This was achieved by sheathing the building in multicoloured fibre-cement panels using the stain glass windows of the church as precedent. The added areas will facilitate new classrooms, music and art room and library.
