For the design of the first We Coffee café in 2019, we developed a concept that proposed an immersive, minimalist, and contemporary space, aligned with the experience the brand sought to offer.

The materiality was conceived through white tones and textures, creating a neutral base that highlights the food — mostly colorful and uniquely shaped — turning it into a central feature of the environment. The result is an integration of Architecture, Design, and Gastronomy.

After years of success and with the brand’s maturation, we were invited to translate this new phase in 2025 through the complete retrofit of the first We Coffee unit in Brazil, located in Liberdade.

The new proposal for the café aims to refine and deepen the original identity, while reorganizing flows, enhancing and expanding areas for staying, and reassessing material choices in response to the high customer volume.

On the upper level, a continuous bench defines the seating areas and reinforces the collective character of the space. On the ground floor, the redesigned counter responds more precisely to preparation and service flows, recognizing operational efficiency as a fundamental part of spatial quality.

The façade, in turn, undergoes a process of refinement: excess elements are removed, surfaces are expanded, and verticality is introduced through a glass panel that reveals the interior circulation and gives the ensemble a stronger presence.

By revisiting the project, we sought to consolidate it as a true infrastructure for social interaction — a space that welcomes, supports longer stays, and fosters encounters. Developing commercial projects involves analyzing and understanding the essence of the brand to be expressed, reinterpreting and enhancing the fundamental elements that structure the space.
