XINGYE HOSTEL

AT DESIGN as Architects

We are just a speck in the vastness of the universe Yet each planet represents a soul Each soul does its best to shine Only we enrich our hearts To find meaning in life.

XINGYE located on the top of Moganshan Mountain, surrounded by only a stretch of bamboo mountain scenery, comfortable and independent. When the night falls, all sounds are quiet. The small Windows of the building make the warm lights set off against the stars, like the light from stars, blending with the surrounding nature.

Designers Shen Mo and Tao Jianpu have incorporated stars into every part of the space. The reception area is inspired by the astronomical phenomena of the solar eclipse, the chandelier in the shape of an aperture responds to the state of the solar eclipse ring, and the hollow-out circular shaped wall and arch door increase the three-dimensional sense of the space.

The light of the stairwell is inspired by the Big Dipper. The light spots shine on every corner of the stairwell. The space becomes like a dream in an instant with the starlight. On the other side of the staircase, there is a leisure area and tea area, which can accommodate guests to rest and enjoy the outdoor scenery.

The seven rooms of Xing Ye are named after the stars of Tianxuan, Tianshu, Tianji, Tianquan, Yuheng, Kaiyang, and Yaoguang in the Big Dipper. Each room is full of ingenuity and creativity.

A small courtyard opens to the guest rooms on the first floor, and a large black background wall adds a quiet atmosphere to the space.

Wash one's hands the setting wall of stage black is like the sky with quiet chance at night, send out the yellow halo to let a space become more delicate. The layered spatial modeling makes the residents have the illusion of moving through different time and space, which is full of fun.

Circular elements can be seen everywhere in the space. Designers use circles to construct different shapes and skillfully integrate them into the space, as if they are in the space between the planets at this moment.

Beige and wood color accessories make the space warm and artistic. The metope of stair side is embedded the glass face of circular cut, the space becomes fully capacious, extended dimensional feeling.

Spend the night together on the balcony watching the stars, making the journey more meaningful.
