Hunter Douglas Wide Panel Ceilings enable architects to design a closed ceiling with high performance aluminum or steel materials. In order to give maximum freedom in design there is a wide choice in panels with soft edges for a monolithic ceiling appearance or panels with square edges which results in a smooth ceiling with a narrow butt joint.

Less joints for a robust look
The 300mm-wide panel ceiling system establishes a distinct, robust look. Panels span lengths up to 6 meters, requiring fewer panels and joints to reduce installation cost. With multiple joint options and a variety of perforations for acoustical performance, the wide panel system trims costs without trimming style.
The 300C/300L Wide Ceiling Panels are suitable for all building sectors. These include corporate, transport (airports, metro, bus & train stations), retail, leisure, public space, hospitality, healthcare, education & residential environments.
Luxalon® 300C/ 300L wide panel ceilings are produced with two joint options, two materials to choose from and four different installation options. Different perforation patterns provide solutions for a variety of acoustic environments.
With excellent sound control properties, 300C/ 300L panels turn loud environments into spaces with a comfortable acoustic ambiance.

Characteristics
-Closed ceiling type in 300mm module, resulting in a closed smooth appearance
-Panels are available as standard in steel (0.6mm) or aluminum (0.7mm)
-Panels can be supplied in any length up to 6000 mm (as standard) and are free-spanning up to 2400mm length (300C) and 1800mm (300C)
-Optimum acoustic control can be achieved by using perforated panels with a non-woven textile membrane bonded to the inside face
-Easily demountable panels allowing full access to services and equipment in the plenum
-Aluminum carriers in combination with aluminum panels can also be used for exterior applications
-Panels can be easily demounted by hand allowing easy and full access to services and installation in the plenum.
-All Luxalon® metal ceiling systems by Hunter Douglas obtain a high classification according to EN 13501-1. They have been tested in official fire tests at TNO-Bouw
Delft, an independent Dutch building and construction research institute.

Durability
Wide panel ceilings are manufactured from durable roll formed aluminum (0.7 mm) or steel (0.6 mm) coil, finished with a polyester paint to provide a long, low maintenance life. The coating is stove enamelled in a continuous coil coating process ensuring uniform coating thickness and absolute adhesion. For exterior applications aluminum panels with Luxacote® finish are available.
Acoustics
The acoustic comfort in an office space, school or public building contributes to our wellbeing as poor acoustic performance can affect health, communication, safety, productivity and learning.
Hunter Douglas high performance acoustical ceiling products are the best solution to deliver outstanding acoustic performance, comfort and an aesthetically pleasing environment. With the Luxalon 300C/ 300L Wide Panel system an absorption value (αw) 0.75 can be obtained, depending on the ceiling and panel configuration.
The ceiling panels can be perforated with a 1.5 or 2 mm round hole. As a standard feature, perforated panels can be supplied with a sound absorbing non woven tissue glued into the panel for enhanced acoustical performance.
