The project, located in the southern area of Panguipulli, plans to consolidate, through architecture, a friendly space for children, as respectful of human scale as the city one. An architecture even being contemporary remembers the forms and combinations of the typical architecture in southern Chile, which is sustainable, able to look around, and based on buildings that run along the ground generating meeting spaces needed for education.

The School maintains a traditional access area with main urban presence, which contains the entrance hall, administration and library. Moreover, the volume of pre-kindergarten is also consolidated nearby to the access point of the parents.

In the upper part the typical school programs are located. Activities for students from 1st to 8th grade are developed. In this area is also featured a parking place for large events, gym, cafeteria and workshops. Warehouses, mansions and colonial houses are representative of Chilean southern landscape. The randomness of their arrangement, their simple and functional volume, which protects them from the weather condition and the linearity of its spaces were referential elements in the design of the school. The volumetric configuration of the school, aims to be clear, austere and rational. Differentiating one cycle from the other, shortening the perspectives and performing various points of view over the natural and architectural landscape.

Galleries as an expression of sustainable architecture are conducted to the project to generate intermediate spaces that preserve the view of the local landscape, which serve as a covered patio, in order to give students an area of warm and confortable lifetime and besides, acting as a bioclimatic element that open windows to the north, absorbing heat and light in winter, and generate natural ventilation in summer.
