The terraced houses in Bernts Have are the fifth stage in a continuous masterplan development in Holbæk. The settlement contains 64 apartments incorporating a more hilly part of the site, thus allowing the buildings to respond and follow the landscape.
The terraced houses are built as blocks in the landscape. The gables form a back and the characteristic image of stairs welcomes the visitor. The material used is yellow tile as in the existing marginal development; however, here it is used as 'a lump' from which the final shape has been cut.
The space between the blocks is proportioned so as to create an intimate setting for a close social life among the residents.
