Bolzano, on the second floor of one of the small villas in the Rione Venezia district, built in 1928 by the Venice Institute for Social Housing and characterized by clear references to the architectural tradition of the lagoon city, we renovated an apartment of approximately 95 sqm, adapting it to the needs of its new owner and his dog, Gino. n the Nomentano district, just a short walk from Villa Torlonia, Set Architects has completed the renovation of an apartment within an early 20th-century building, reinterpreting its traditional layout through a contemporary lens. The project is designed for a young family and engages with a layout typical of the period: a sequence of independent rooms, with ceilings approximately four meters high and openings in load-bearing walls that defined a strongly rigid distribution. This apartment in Heraklion, Crete, built in 1974, required complete renovation after remaining untouched for nearly five decades. Despite the need for modernisation, the apartment's inherent qualities were immediately apparent: high ceilings, original terrazzo floors and a long corridor that gave the space a natural elegance requiring only careful enhancement. In the Sagrada Família neighbourhood, in the very heart of Barcelona, we are carrying out a project of full refurbishment and interior rehabilitation of a dwelling located in a protected 1950s building. To refurbish and rehabilitate the existing architectural heritage in order to adapt it to the new needs of its inhabitants is always highly rewarding. We are faced with a typology of dwelling with separated, rigid rooms and a high number of bedrooms, which does not suit the current use by the couple who live there. Tribe House is the result of a comprehensive renovation of a 263 square metre home located within a 12-unit residential complex designed in 1977 by Colombian modernist architects Camacho and Guerrero. The project started by reversing the original direction of the house. Organised on the basis of the building's structure, it generated a programmatic layout that was unsuited to what was intended for the dwelling. Structurally, the intervention proposes a building that refers to the rural tradition of Trentino, to the farms, where solid bases are crowned by light wooden structures. The project was developed on the idea of ​​a green line, a central volume (core) around which the various rooms from the living area develop: entrance, kitchen, dining room and living room.
