Located on Abaya Avenue, the 57,843 m² project brings together a group of high-rise residential buildings within a unified architectural composition. The 2,167 m² project is built around a simple principle: architecture should frame the product rather than compete with it. Hillside Pavilion began with a decision to work with the land. On a site in Wayzata, Minnesota, that descends from the road toward a wooded backyard, JMAD Architecture set the home into the slope. Set among stone pines in Colares, overlooking vineyards and the slopes of the Sintra hills, the house is the transformation of an existing dwelling into a contemporary home, open to its garden and the surrounding landscape. The project builds on the existing L-shaped volume, keeping and strengthening it as the organising principle. The two wings embrace a sheltered inner garden with a lawn and pool, and set up a clear relationship between building and landscape. AJ Residence is a contemporary minimal villa in Vilnius, Lithuania, designed as a single-storey U-shaped composition that follows the gentle slope of the site. The house is organised around a private landscaped courtyard, creating a close relationship between architecture, garden and everyday living. Baitas is a boutique residential building in Almaty’s Kompot neighbourhood, designed by Basire Design for AB Capital.
