Dolce Sitges

The brief comprised converting three contiguous rooms into a single room so that it could be used for large office meeting events or weddings while maintaining the option of using them separately. The fixed partitions that separated the central room from the adjacent rooms needed to be replaced by mobile phones that could allow their movement, while maintaining the current capacity if the Hotel required it.  Jump & Fly The appearance of the rooms is simple as the design do not want to distract the users of the event that going to take place. The aim was to design a naked box that the companies or wedding couples could dress up according to their needs, spicing the room up with their branding and display.  Jump & F... More

APARTMENT IN NEUTRAL HUES

Year: 2021 Area: 70 sqm Location: Chisinau, Republic of Moldova Turnkey execution: MADLAB Team: Alexandrin Buraga, Marco Ballerini, Vlad Stepu, Victoria Bînzari, Cristina Cortac Interior Design Concept: AB + Partners Photo: Oleg Bajura   This project is one more from the series of those implemented according to the mechanism – design | build | furnish, in the version of a small budget, but with the same requirements for the result. We relied on a well-thought-out strategic zoning, approaching the premises from the prospects of a functional planning. The limited space challenged us to find solutions for its optimization and integration of indispensable elements. Increased attention was paid to the area intended for... More

Portughes Outlet

The Portughes brand is no stranger to the Maltese context, as it has a strong presence throughout the island as the leading laundry and dry cleaning company. The proposal for this new self service outlet - a first of its kind for Malta - aims to give the Portughes brand a new, updated look and visual identity. The launderette is conceived as a singular, monolithic element, which is then carved out to accommodate the program. Using a monochromatic palette of greys - all rendered in different materials with various subtle contrasts in texture and hue; spaces are created via the playful exchange of line and curve. This language is not only applied on a plan level, but it's also found throughout in smaller scales found in various details. &... More

Adela Apartments

The project came about with the development of a large residential block close to the Elwood foreshore and Port Philip Bay. The brief simply requested a spacious apartment product that was cutting edge and contemporary, but subtle both inside and out. The concept of a large apartment resulted in six single level dwellings, each with the proportions of a small house. The apartments are low maintenance, functionally adaptable to appeal to a range of potential residents, and highly sustainable. Externally, rather than go for a standard “stacked wedding cake” form, the building was set back significantly from the adjoining properties on the lower levels. This allowed the main volume of the building to have vertical sides and reduce... More

Modern decor style

The building to our client is constructed in factory neighborhood. Each facade tells a story of aesthetic emotions linked with each space in terms of its color palate. We tried to blend modern interiors, flooring and plenty of open spaces where you can break away for a change of scenery. Office layout is kept quite simple with central alley leading us to the owner’s cabin. Office space includes main director office, working space with desks, meeting room, and an informal reception area.Exterior elevation of the office is quite unusual with heavy ornamented bracket wooden frame design. Simple elevation with wooden balustrade detail on the first floor window & white color story enhances the richness and simplicity of this elevation.... More

Hill & Dale Mixed-Use Development

Award-winning architecture firm Studio JCI recently completed Hill & Dale, a 75,000-square-foot mixed-use development at the corner of Yonge and Roxborough Street in Toronto’s prestigious Rosedale neighbourhood. The eye-catching project accommodates retail, offices and residences, transforming a nondescript three-storey office block into a dynamic new six-storey building. Hill & Dale not only reflects a global trend in the design and construction industry, which favours working with existing structures as opposed to building new, but it also takes a highly creative approach to City of Toronto’s mid-rise guidelines, opting for a form that is far more varied than many of the cookie-cutter mid-rise developments in the city.... 33 Bloor Street East

Epic Investment Services commissioned me to photograph the renovation of the lobby at 33 Bloor Street East in Toronto, 30 years after the building first opened. The renovationr reimagined the lobby, as well as the retail spaces.    It was important to capture the various aspects of the renovation: frontage on two different streets, retail spaces, main lobby, and elevator lobby. Highlighting the features of the spaces was key, as well as the different connections: two street entrances, one neighboring building and the subway stop entrance. The sculptural ceiling was also great to get some graphic details hots.   Photographing an office building lobby during the COVID pandemic was challenging. We had to bring a few models f... More

Indigo Branding Agency

Since this is an office, we decided to keep things calm: not to bother the creative minds. We took the Scandinavian style and purified it with modern tendencies. What we got is a minimal, dominantly white interior that induces to work and does not apply any pressure for the creative processes. More

Pickering GO Pedestrian Bridge

Located in Pickering just east of Toronto, this major pedestrian bridge over Highway 401 and CN rail lines connects the GO train transit station on the south side to parking and commercial development to the north. Constructed of a simple exposed truss and clad in perforated metal panels, the undulating sculptural form provides dramatic framed views east and west along the highway.  Programmable LED lighting creates vibrant changing light patterns at night.   When Teeple Architects commissioned me, we immediately discussed aerial photography as a way to showcase the sheer length of the pedestrian bridge, as well as the context, from local buildings to the nearby Ontario lake, all the way to the Toronto skyline.   With the... Gore Meadows Community Ice Rink & Events Pavilion

When ZAS Architects + Interiors reached out about photographing the ice rink at the Gore Meadows Community Centre, one of their main goals was to photograph it in winter with snow. I was immediately excited about the idea but I had no idea what was waiting for me...   A few weeks later, with a snowstorm announced on a Sunday, I scheduled the photoshoot for the following Monday, for which the forecast was sunny. When I arrived at the Community Centre just in time for sunrise, the conditions looked perfect: blue skies, a beautiful blanket of snow.... and a balmy temperature of -32C (-26F).    Photographing in very cold conditions is manageable with good equipment and by taking precautions, like not taking the camera directl... LiUNA Local 506 Training Centre

The LiUNA Local 506 Training Centre was designed to meet the growing demand for trade apprenticeship programs, skills training, and certification in the region. It provides training in four programs: construction craft worker, cement finisher, precast erector, and hazmat worker.   BNKC Architects commissioned me to photograph the full project in December 2019. The winter conditions provided some great opportunities for dramatic exterior images. The minimalist snow cover helped emphasize the materials of the building.   The goal of the interior images was to highlight the different learning spaces. Including people in some of the shots helped provide scale and give an idea of the types of activities the building was designed fo... More

Baran 3 Tower

Baran Company is one of the leading groups in the field of top buildings in Khorasan province. Baram 3 Tower is one of the most luxurious structures built with a modern mindset. Some interior wooden decorations are based on neoclassical principles. Its construction took 5 years to biuld and its foundation is about 5000 meters. However as a photographer, our obligation was to display the luxurious interior space by emphasis on the central kitchen and the main hall. More

Toranj marine hotel

We spent about 6 days looking for the beauty of this hotel and the pure moments of the day and night. Marine hotels are not luxury hotels, but they benefit from the blessings of the sea and its silence. The architecture of this hotel is Mediterranean style and our approach in photography was to record the scenery of this hotel. More
