The condominium is composed of four houses located in Abuxarda, Portugal, developed from a layout that seeks to take advantage of the topography, solar exposure, and the existing natural surroundings. The ensemble presents itself as a contemporary architectural composition, marked by overlapping horizontal volumes, large glazed surfaces, spacious terraces, and a constant relationship between interior and exterior. Residential 55 is a housing project located in Ensanche de Vallecas, Madrid, designed by Estudio7dos Arquitectos. The building consists of 55 social housing units and was documented at the final stage of construction. The house is developed perpendicular to Rua Professor Agostinho da Silva and occupies the central area of the plot. This proposal aims to construct a single-family home that will fit into the lot, oriented along an East-West axis. A functional office unit was designed with two principles; pure and simple. The concept of the project that we called “prism in prism” was shaped with a contextual approach. The 6mx6mx3m space is divided into two parts. The multi-multi functional unit is defined as a second prism in the space that includes bookshelves, kitchenette, cloakroom, meeting pod, wc, and some devices such as a fridge. The other part of the space is defined as a flexible and transformable working area shaped with some additional tools and furniture. The brief comprised converting three contiguous rooms into a single room so that it could be used for large office meeting events or weddings while maintaining the option of using them separately.
