Science Forest

ADAT Studio’s proposal for the Science Museum of Rome is based around an open-air building that will redefine the traditional museum experience by creating a public and shared space that focuses on the relationship between history, humanity, and nature and how these subjects engage in constant dialogue. The museum becomes a hub for citizens and researchers, a new open community that surpasses conventional boundaries between public and private, natural and artificial, past and future. ADAT Together with the urban forest that opens to the city, ground-level spaces create a ‘diffuse gallery’ for hosting exhibitions, events, and science-related meetings. ADAT Studio’s “Science Forest” is intended to bec... More

San Benedetto

The urban regeneration of San Benedetto Val di Sambro has redeveloped two central areas. The square in front of the Church and the Town Hall has become an attractive and social rest space, while a disused green area has been transformed into an Urban Park, creating continuity between the anthropic and natural landscapes. Fabio Mantovani The peculiarities that have made the square a fundamental element in traditional cities are the same principles that we have neglected for too long, causing the loss of identity and urban dimension in these spaces. For this reason, the urban regeneration of San Benedetto Val di Sambro has redeveloped two areas that, despite being close, did not present a physical or perceptive continuity with the aim o... More

Climacool Teahouse

“Through tangible construction, the installation responds to nature’s intangible imagery—opening a space where the city can breathe. It begins with the resilience of bamboo and lands in the field of embodied human experience.” — Zhu Peidong Arch-Exist Photography In Chengdu, time moves unhurriedly. The city’s deepest connection with public life plays out in alleyway teahouses—between bamboo chairs and square tables—where presence is shared, not performed. Bamboo, too, grows to this rhythm, threading quietly through fences at the ends of lanes and casting dappled shadows across teahouse floors. It has long softened the city’s edge. line+ △ Chengdu Cultural Life Image source: I... More

Deer Harbor

Set on the west side of Orcas Island, the Deer Harbor Residence transforms an existing house, guest house, studio, and garage into a refined island retreat that lives in harmony with its surroundings. The design re-envisions how the owners experience the property—bringing in light, strengthening the connection to the outdoors, and creating a home that feels both expansive and deeply personal. Andrew Pogue Photography At the heart of the transformation is a bold intervention: a clean, modern incision through the center of the house that reshapes the entry sequence, introduces a covered porch, and extends upward to form a perched deck that opens dramatically to views across the San Juan Islands. Domcenter Linz

The neo-Gothic cathedral in Linz is one of Austria’s largest and most ambitious church buildings, constructed between 1865 and 1924. In 2024, the diocese celebrates its 100th anniversary. In recent years, Catholic communities have faced significant challenges: declining membership, waning acceptance of church institutions, and decreasing societal relevance. While many congregations respond with budget cuts, property sales, and the secularization of sacred spaces, the Archdiocese of Linz takes a progressive and innovative approach. Edward Beierle Building on the parish’s success in pastoral, artistic, and social work, it is also redefining itself architecturally. The new Domcenter on the east side of the cathedral continues...
