The Scarlet Tusk

The client’s brief was to design a space that functioned as both a professional coaching academy for CA, CS, and law students and a bold, youthful workplace. It needed to resonate with a younger audience while clearly reflecting a sense of purpose and seriousness. We began the design journey with a few carefully chosen keywords—focus, growth, clarity, and strength—which we translated into strong graphic interpretations that are woven throughout the project. Sagar Mandal - Studio Colourblind   At the heart of the concept lies the idea that the training academy holds the "key" to the future of young minds. This metaphor is expressed through a striking key motif that appears throughout the space—from a large... More

Pirate's Yacht

Extension for a bathing hut in Greifenstein on the Danube  The allotment garden settlement “Greifenstein” next to a dead arm of the Danube River has a special charm. The first residents in the 1920s to 60s were very creative when building their bathing huts themselves. Since it is a flood area, all houses must be built on pillars. Christoph Panzer Christoph Panzer All of them were made of wood and the size was reduced to the essentials. Visitors are reminded of Peter Pan's Neverland or beach huts on the California coast. With our two-story extension to one of these huts, originally known as "pirate house", we want to honor this style. Portholes, big windows and terraces on all levels also make this hut a unique,... More

House of After Image

This is a house for a young couple and their child, built in a typical Tokyo residential neighborhood in Tokyo. The site faces a relatively busy front street on the east side and a narrow alley less than two meters wide on the other. While the street side lacks any features, the alley side has a more intimate atmosphere created by neighboring houses cultivating gardens and plants. Therefore, the “facade” of the house was shifted toward the alley, where a garden and window were added to contribute to this atmosphere. The front, stripped of its facade, presents a quiet exterior that conceals the internal layout. Inside, the ceiling on the second floor was kept low, while the first floor was given a ceiling height of about four met... More

Choique House

Choique House is situated in a residential area of small lots bordering the golf course in Cariló city. A restrictive building code together with the demands set in the program, led to a project that optimizes not only the constructed area but also the virtual volume.  Diego Medina Diego Medina Diego Medina The steep slope in the lot fosters an access at an intermediate level allowing the three floors to fully open to the rear, blurring the boundary between the property and the expanse of the golf court. In order to fulfil the program requirements, the dwelling closes to the south, opening the bedrooms to the morning sun and boosting the expansions placed to the north and west.  Diego Medina Diego Me...
