Located on a corner lot in the Little Forest Hills neighborhood, this residence is shaped as much by its constraints as by its opportunities. The dual frontage introduced a series of restrictions—setbacks, visibility, and exposure—but also opened up a unique condition: the ability to redefine how the house meets the street. Designed in collaboration with client and designers Jonathan Goss and Cathy Ellegard, this 230 sqm footprint utilises skillfully crafted and organised spaces to deliver a family home in a modest space without compromising on design. Adaptive spaces are able to be opened up or closed down to suit the family’s needs, allowing the couple and their two children to live and work alongside each other. The house is situated on the outskirts of Guimarães, within a planned housing development. The principles of this plan were respected to keep continuity in its design approach. Its corner position and the slope from northwest to south dictated the layout: a concrete basement, housing the garage and technical areas, defines a platform for a regular white volume above. Normandy Isles Historic District has some excellent examples of Mediterranean Revival, Classical Revival, Masonry Vernacular, Minimal Traditional, Art Deco and Moderne.   SEPIZ is a typical infill apartment building in Tehran, with access from both the north and south sides of the property, offering stunning views of the mountains and the city. The building features five 4-bedroom units, each benefiting from dual-sided views. Two basement floors are dedicated to parking, a gym, a pool, service areas, and a mechanical room. Enhancing the House Facade The Casa Caxambu property boasts a 20-meter-wide frontage, which is highly advantageous for creating an elongated facade that enhances the residence's visual appeal.The street where it is located has a gentle slope, allowing us to design the garage at a lower level without significantly raising the ground floor's elevation.
