Paweł Lis Architekci is a Warsaw-based architectural studio specializing exclusively in modern residential architecture. Founded by Paweł Lis, a graduate of the Lodz University of Technology under the guidance of Prof. Bolesław Kardaszewski, the practice has built a strong reputation for designing uncompromising, contemporary single-family homes, boutique residences, and housing estates. Backed by a dedicated team of experienced architects and specialized engineers, the studio delivers comprehensive design services from the initial concept to on-site author's supervision.
Our Approach & Philosophy Our architectural language is deeply rooted in the legacy of the Bauhaus school and the bold expression of Brutalism. We strive to establish a continuous dialogue with the traditions of the 1930s Polish avant-garde, particularly the Praesens Group. Our core philosophy centers on creating timeless architecture by stripping away excess form and unnecessary content. We believe that by eliminating the superfluous, our buildings become resilient to cultural and stylistic corrosion, standing as lasting values in themselves.

Materials & Sustainability We have a profound appreciation for raw, authentic materials such as exposed concrete, steel, brick, and natural wood. These elements allow our buildings to age gracefully and weather naturally, creating a harmonious bond with their surroundings.
Sustainability and ecology are integral to our practice. We specialize in energy-efficient solutions for residential buildings, proving that expansive glazing can go hand-in-hand with high thermal performance. By carefully designing the foundation, wall insulation, and ventilation, and by utilizing flat roofs for green terraces and photovoltaic integration, we lower operational costs while minimizing environmental impact. Our technical designs seamlessly incorporate modern technologies, including heat pumps, recuperation, energy storage, and rainwater retention systems.

We are proud laureates of the Silver A' Design Award in Architecture (2022-2023) for the RB23 Boutique Residence, and we received nominations for the prestigious Simon Architecture Prize 2024 (Fundació Mies van der Rohe Barcelona) for our RUBRA and MONOLIT estates. Our P54 project was honored with the Iconic Award 2024. Over the years, our diverse portfolio of new builds and historic metamorphoses—including the Swoosh House, the 1928 Villa Reconstruction, and the White Pavilion—has been consistently ranked among the most beautiful and interesting houses in Poland by leading design publications such as White Mad, Label Magazine, F5 Design, Murator, Archinea, and Interiores Minimalistas. Ultimately, driven by the satisfaction of our clients, our studio has also been recognized as a laureate of the "Eagles of the Construction Industry" (Orły Branży Budowlanej).
