Omakase Xi is a sushi restaurant located in Lujiazui business district in Shanghai’s Pudong New Area, with a net indoor area of about 82㎡. Chef Jiang studied sushi making as an apprentice with a Japanese sushi master and wanted to run his own Omakase in Shanghai after returning to China, named Xi (which means little creek in Chinese), and that became a key inspiration for our design. Inspired by the Impressionist painting of Tainan City, this project aims to create a museum-like dining space with the beauty of nature. We surround the architecture with trees and a large landscaped pool from the outside and the interior patio, projecting water ripples and leaf shadows on the wooden-textured raw concrete façade and the glass windows with natural light. Chinese Classics Redefined Yen is a modern Cantonese restaurant designed around the idea of reflective nostalgia, where cultural memory is transformed into contemporary spatial expression. The project draws from everyday domestic symbols found in Chinese households, the red cloth hung above thresholds, the glow of lanterns during festivals, and the auspicious color red, and reinterprets them as large-scale architectural elements. Located in Tokyo’s Ginza district, Xin Rong Ji marks the brand’s first overseas venture, carefully balancing tradition and refinement across two distinct levels of dining. The design responds to the client’s ambition to reflect Taizhou culinary heritage while creating a setting that resonates with contemporary sensibilities. Spaces is a contemplative eatery where a dreamy atmosphere evokes your senses, from the moment you arrived at the space. The space character is grounded by monolithic function and is softened by dividing drapes that evoke a sense of dreamy retreat and promotes contemplation. MAO is a Chinese restaurant located in Kharkiv. It was to become an authentic Chinese place: with Chinese chefs, equipment and packaging shipped directly from China. Andrey Bezuglov The restaurant's mascot is Mao, a young man from China, whose family moved to Kharkiv and opened a restaurant using modest funds but with fond memories of their native China. There are many hints of unfinished DYI renovation in the interior: open plasterboard, unframed mirrors, and wooden boards stacked in the fashion of construction hypermarkets. Located on a narrow strip of land between the lagoon and the Caribbean Sea, this 38-room boutique resort on Isla Mujeres has its roots in a renowned European-style restaurant that shaped island life from the 1980s. Known for its exquisite cuisine, it quickly became a culinary landmark, drawing visitors even from Cancún who arrived by boat to enjoy the experience.
