ID Bank’s “Old Yerevan” Branch is a corporate space in the heart of Yerevan designed by Futuris Architects to improve the banking experience. Our task was somewhat challenging: to create a warm office environment while integrating innovative technologies. The task was completed gracefully, as you can feel the welcoming energy of the modern interior design as soon as you step inside. The aesthetics of the company's contemporary interior design appeal to both employees and customers. As a customer-oriented space, the bank needed an environment that was both inviting for clients and comfortable for employees. At our first encounter with the site, the unusual proportions of this rather small piece of ground caught our attention. This irregular geometry together with the remaining marks of an old construction, including the outline of an old villa and a ramp, were the last signs of what once was there. Still visible on the walls, the vestige of the old house felt like a chalk outline drawn at a crime scene, preserving the last trace of the victim’s presence in the world. We are working with new techniques of LED facades, with the ability to see the outside from the inside and, being transparent, promoting natural light. The emblematic Monumental Building was reborn as BPI's new premises. The offices house the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors and around 1.000 bank employees on 11 floors. In this project, built by Vector Mais and designed and managed by CBRE, sustainability, technological innovation, and comfort took a central role. The space offers excellent working conditions, maximising collaboration and well-being, providing spaces primarily organised in open space, with meeting areas and soundproofed individual work areas. Volksbank Krefeld invested 27 million Euros in the building of its new main branch in the city centre of Krefeld between the popular Von-der-Leyen-Platz square and the Dionysius-Kirchplatz church square. In the middle of the building is a hall with a glazed roof along the lines of a “market-place”. With its structure-high opening towards the neighbouring Church of St. Dionysius, the bank building leaves the dominant role to the church building, which together with the square of the same name characterises the city centre.A diagonal walkway through the hall links the church square to the Von-der-Leyen-Platz square. McKinney York was commissioned to produce a brand aesthetic by designing the environment for the client’s new and existing facilities. The scope of work included selection and placement of a palette of finish materials as well as custom built-in millwork, systems furniture, and case goods for public entries, offices, and conference rooms. Custom specialty millwork for bank transactions was also designed to further enhance the bank customer’s experience.
