How to maximize the use of limited space? Both conceptually and visually, differential growth is used as a key element in the bistro. The growth pattern follows a clear mathematical system, even when it appears to be random. This system is based on an algorithm modeled after natural occurrences and simulated using parametric software. The mathematical understanding of growth evolution was used not only for the light installation as the centerpiece, but also for smaller artifacts located on both floors. A similar idea is applied to the interior cladding around the counter. A direlict public space tranformed into a vibrant pedestrian space

Dignified and atemporal, contemporary facade with precision-cut aluminiom balustrades, developed with a local firm manufacturing plane parts.

Human scale plays an important role in integrating these formerly direlict buildings into a new, renovated pedestrian space.

Bringing back the palm trees: an elegant new hotel and public square in the heart of Seville Borgos Pieper has completed a new five-star Radisson Collection hotel and transformed Plaza de la Magdalena in the historic centre of Seville. The LEED Gold project has entirely reinvented two buildings, which together define the western edge of the square: ‘Magdalena’, a former 1960s glass-fronted department store, and ‘Rioja’, a smaller office building bordering Calle Rioja.
