Giant Group Global Headquarters

Located in the heart of the Central Taiwan Science Park, the project consists of a 15-story office tower, a 3-story cycling culture museum, and an underground parking garage, with a total gross floor area of approximately 33,000m². With a design language echoing that of Giant’s bicycle frames to convey a sense of freedom and motion, the architecture of the soaring tower and curvaceous museum form a dynamic composition that is bold and forward looking. Caption Specifically the tapering tower form corresponds with the program arrangement, with the public and amenity areas in the podium followed by the R&D labs and offices, and culminating in the executive suites at the top. VanMoof Brand Store

Introduction Dutch bike brand VanMoof is on a mission to introduce the Dutch mobility mindset to the rest of the world and in the process get as many city dwellers on bikes as possible. To this effect, they’ve opened a number of brand stores in cities around the world, designed by Ninetynine. Welcome to Dream City.   “The e-bike is transformational for the urban commute. Where bikes were traditionally considered for the 5km range, the e-bike is suited for the 30km commute. Mobility Company

Because their current office became too small, this mobility company, decided to move to Amersfoort. A perfect moment to find a location that radiates what they do: ‘making mobility easy’. They found a perfect spot: an office near the train station! We did not design an average office, but an office that feels like a New York loft, including the industrial atmosphere that goes with it. An office where the team feels at home and where they can proudly welcome their customers. What this looks like? We started with a refreshing combination of homeliness with an industrial character. And of course you will find items in their interior that reflects their link with mobility. For this we came up with some fun gadgets, such as bicycle... More

PFB Santa Fe

The concept of the brand is to be a home instead of a shop, where visitors feel comfortable and always attended by a cyclist like themselves. Thus, an image was created to reflect the principles of the company. On the one hand, a cozy place that evoked the comfort of a house was conceived, where anyone who enters feels as if they were in their own living room, relaxing comfortably with some antique furniture and old posters. Surrounding this space, bicycles racks and wheelable furniture allows for spatial flexibility and can be adapted to any type of product, from accessories, to garment and whole bikes, and be reconfigured easily according to the needs of the store. All these pieces of custom-made furniture double as storage spaces to cou... More

PFB Pop up store

People for Bikes is a company that goes beyond supplying cycling products, they create a great cycling experience and their motto is "We sell quality of life". Created and managed by expert cyclists, and their vision is based on real experiences.  The Polanco Pop-Up store is an ephemeral pavilion which will last only 3 weeks, with a very short time to convey the brand ideals, generating a need to make a bold statement to transmit speed, energy and power, all elements of their e-bike line of bicycles. The concept of the store was based on a Tron-like feel, a black space enveloped with light, recreating the grid within a limitless expanse, making a 40 sqm space feel much larger. The material selection is simple, black steel, mirrors a... More

LaLa Bridge

The Harbor in Los Angeles’ Marina Del Rey is the largest man-made small craft harbor in the world, which is a valuable resource if you are a boater. Unfortunately for a cyclist or pedestrian, the Marina breaks the existing pathway connecting the North and South route. Cyclists and pedestrians who want to experience the Los Angeles urban coastline must make a lengthy detour around the Marina, hindering the quintessential LA experience of cycling or walking along the Santa Monica Bay. To solve this problem, we are proposing a new pedestrian and bike path that bridges over the harbor entrance. The pathway is a five percent sloped spiral ramp that is nestled within a latticed shell structure. It was generated by lofting two rotated ellipses alon... More

Rijswijk swing bridge

The city of Rijswijk is situated on both sides of a canal, with the canal acting as a barrier for cyclists and pedestrians especially. Therefore, the City Council asked ipv Delft to research possible locations for a new bridge across the canal. This extensive study resulted in a proposal for a moveable bridge, which we were then asked to design. We designed a swing bridge with an 18-metre high pylon placed to the side of the canal. This structural concept made it possible to have a slender, asymmetrical deck that’s extremely slim at the far end.size: l=35 m | h=18 m More

Poort Neerbosch

In order to improve traffic flow Nijmegen City Council decided to redesign the Poort Neerbosch intersection. Besides the redesign of the traffic intersection itself, the project included a redesign of the bicycle and pedestrian routes as well. The existing underpasses got a facelift, and a third one was added. All elements of the landscaping were connected in a total refurbishment. The most eye-catching element of the redesign is the innovative steel portal to which traffic signs and traffic lights have been attached. The portal with its 13 m high pylons and 41 m span is a new landmark and a recognizable gateway to the city of Nijmegen. The intersection is Nijmegens main entrance on the western side of town. For this project,we team... More

bicycle- footbridge Vlinderbrug N18 Lichtenvoorde

The VlinderBrug or “Butterfly Bridge” is a pedestrian/cycle bridge which makes an elegant leap across the busy provincial highway. The shape refers to the butterfly emblem of Oost Gelre. The two wooden arches, filled with stretched mesh, suggest wings – the wings of a gigantic butterfly which has alighted over the N18 near Lichtenvoorde. More
