The project develops through a central band that contains all the service spaces (entrance, kitchen, bathroom, laundry, corridor), separating the large living room from the kitchen. Gaudenti 1971 is a new format that mixes the small, Italian fine pastry shop with a large international bakery. This was the starting point to define a space that could convey both respect for the traditional values of Italian culture and a strong drive for renewal. This premise translated into a careful renovation of existing elements, which were systematically integrated into the new decor. Casa TRBC was designed as a continuous interior: a single space broken up only by functional rhythm, in which living area and sleeping area merge into each other with no obstacles to overcome. The most distinctive visual element in the project is the custom wood paneling that covers the reinforced concrete walls and highlights the continuity of the space. Added to the wall that divides the central part of the house, it transforms its limitations into opportunities: isolating the sleeping area with a large sliding door and hiding the kitchen, it amps up the living area’s flexibility. The project of “Tamo restaurant” consists in the refurbishment of 1600s building, in the historical center of a small town in the hill of central Italy. The main theme of the project is the dialogue between the ancient envelope and the contemporary intervention, between the concreteness of the existing and the abstract nature of the project.This dialogue begins in the entrance, marked by two large arches that allows continuity with the outside, thanks to the light window frames and fixed glass panels.
