The former cod warehouse, a building from the late 1930s, was transformed into the new headquarters of the Oriental Foundation in Lisbon, next to the Foundation's Museum of Oriental Art. The building is classified as a monument of public interest. At the time, the cod business was very important for the country's economy, which is why the construction of warehouses and offices linked to this trade were so important.
