CR80

This project consists of the rehabilitation and extension of a building in Lisbon’s Campo de Ourique district. While preserving the original architectural character, the intervention sought to adapt the building and its apartments to contemporary standards of comfort and functionality.

Our team was responsible for the execution project, construction and site supervision, ensuring that design intentions were fully translated into built reality. The process was guided by great respect for the building’s historical identity. Key objectives included optimizing construction costs, improving the spatial quality of the interiors, and re-establishing a closer relationship between the façade and the original design through adjusted proportions and the recovery of decorative elements.

The intervention included the use of ceramic cladding on the extended areas of the main façade, a new plaster finish on the rear façade, redesigned window proportions on the upper floor, and the reinstatement of traditional details such as cornices, finials, and a floral tile frieze. Window frames were replaced with PVC elements faithful to the originals, and the roof was updated with a new chimney system that improves ventilation while maintaining visual coherence.
