Programmed and designed for flexibility from 10am to 2am, Spot Lite is a multi-use commercial space morphs each day between a community cafe, a local record shop, a remote office, a music venue, an art gallery, a dance party, and an event space. Pranaam, as its name suggests, is a humble restaurant located in the vicinity of major hospitals. Located at one of District 1’s most active intersections, The Running Bean Ben Thanh sits beside Ben Thanh Market, a landmark completed in 1914 that has shaped the rhythm of its surroundings for over a century. The 450m² café and restaurant is embedded within this condition, defined by constant movement and the pace of urban life. Project Overview: A simple palette of white oak, tile, and concrete shapes this contemporary neighborhood bakery, where daylight, open displays, and layered seating create a welcoming café that celebrates craft, transparency, and the daily ritual of fresh bread.  Building Materials: The interior uses a restrained palette of durable, tactile materials to transform what was once a frame shop into a bakery. The existing concrete floors were ground, polished and made anew. They are durable and reflect daylight, while white herringbone tile introduces texture along the product wall.
