A three-story townhouse on the outskirts of Shanghai, nestled between neighboring units, opens only to the north and south on its deep site. The renovation project focused on distributing light and air evenly throughout. Zhu Runzi Zhu Runzi Zhu Runzi The well-lit southern side houses the living room on the first floor, while bedrooms occupy the second and third floors. The redevelopment of the building, with the entrance from Corso di Porta Romana 19 within the historical center of Milan, represents an innovation for the way of approach and the design sensitivity, making a perfect synthesis between historical tradition and contemporary design. The intervention completely renews the building by creating a new glass roof in a contemporary language, harmoniously fitting into the historical context and respecting the architecture of the building underneath. Customized solution for La Moraleja

Due to the years and weather damage, the terrace face pieces were old and there was a danger of detachment. PROBLEMThere were cracked panels on the front, coinciding with the location of the reinforcements. Similarly, longitudinal cracks were observed on the underside, also coinciding with the panel's reinforcements in this area.   In addition, water filtrations from the planters affected the prefabricated panels, causing rust on their reinforcements and auxiliary support structure.   The owners decided to replace the damaged original pieces, which have very creative shapes and give the building great personality.
