Seascape Residence

The presented project is a residence on the Black Sea coast, completed in early summer of 2026. The apartment has an elongated floor plan layout and two-sided exposure - east and west. This allows for a scenic view from each of the bedrooms, but also creates the challenge of functionally utilizing the inner spaces of the building. SOVA SOVA The bathrooms and the entry hall are typically located in the building core. All bathrooms follow the same aesthetic line for a bright and warm tonality, inspired by the overall approach in the home. But in addition to them, in this case there is also space in the building core for a common children's playroom with full soft seating and a library. A second kitchen corner is placed in the dinin... Detail: Cork Facade of Corkscrew House, Berlin

Rundzwei Architekten has designed a private home with a facade and roof clad in panels of cork sourced from Portugal. The rectangular panels provide a thermally-efficient and acoustic skin for the house, as well as lend it a natural and monolithic expression. The ‘corkscrew house’ by Rundzwei Architekten culls its name from the helical, split-level layout the designers conceived for it as a workaround to the site’s volumetric restrictions. “Our client wanted a fairly large house with respect to what the local planning regulations allowed, which was technically a one-story building of 100 square meters,” says its architect, Marc Dufour-Feronce, who worked on the project with his partner, Andreas Reeg. Espaço de Apoio à Visitação

The Visitation Support Space project was developed based on an old primary school, more specifically a primary school from the years of the Estado Novo. From a preliminary stage of the process, more specifically after the visit to the site, it was thought to be crucial to maintain the pre-existence as much as possible, so that the intended program for the building fits into this space. Courtesy of SFA arquitetos Caption Thus, there was a need to make some changes to the existing building. It was therefore proposed that some demolitions be carried out, namely the storage spaces, the porches and the sanitary facilities, these being clearly spaces for expansions after the initial date of construction of the building.
