The presented project is a residence on the Black Sea coast, completed in early summer of 2026. The apartment has an elongated floor plan layout and two-sided exposure - east and west. This allows for a scenic view from each of the bedrooms, but also creates the challenge of functionally utilizing the inner spaces of the building.

The bathrooms and the entry hall are typically located in the building core. All bathrooms follow the same aesthetic line for a bright and warm tonality, inspired by the overall approach in the home. But in addition to them, in this case there is also space in the building core for a common children's playroom with full soft seating and a library. A second kitchen corner is placed in the dining area, separate from the main worktop. It is completely closed, housing both a refrigerator and a pull-out counter for coffee and tea accessories, directly accessible from the dining room.

The living area is wide and the individual functional areas are plastically segregated from each other by soft protrusions in the wall, which repeat the smooth curves of the suspended ceilings. Inside them, space is created for shelves and lighting. Towards the window, the wall ends with a final curve, which creates a niche for hiding curtains. The cladding on this wall is made of ribbed cork panels, which together with the entire surface create acoustic comfort and work in favor of the overall aspiration for softness of both form and surface. The ribbed cork cladding continues throughout the apartment, as the leading finish material - behind the headboards in all bedrooms and behind the upholstered furniture in the common children's play area.

In the master bedroom, a molded ceiling is formed behind and above the bed, separated from the wall by the cork paneling, creating a break in this type of wall treatment and forming an extensive periphery for hidden lights. The recessed lighting is significantly extended when compared to a typical suspended ceiling or a bedframe in order to create a full-fledged lighting regime sufficient to dimly illuminate the room as a whole. Soft shapes with matching radii were sought on both walls and ceiling. The same interpretations of plastic volumes are further developed in the children's bedrooms.

In the common game room, each module of the bookcase is turned at a 45-degree angle to allow the entire assortment of books to be accessible to the visitors’ attention at a glance. In addition to that, the bookcase itself gains a much larger storage area. The rotation of the shelves allows the vertical LED lighting on the bookcase pages to fully participate in the lighting of the space, instead of playing simply the role of a muted decorative backlight.

The shape shifting along the walls in different rooms is always on the face perpendicular to the window, in order to highlight through its ridges the flooding natural light and to produce a unique view of the home at different times of the day.
