In Museum Bezau, two architectural styles converge to create a reimagined “Wälderhaus” (forest house). Located in the town of Bezau, within the Bregenzerwald region of Austria, the museum’s original listed house is seamlessly integrated with a contemporary extension. When opening new offices, companies  are now faced with redefining  the purpose of those offices, and are having a hard time doing so. Many companies continue to design generic offices derived from modern but safe design choices that ultimately mean nothing to their employees. Others entice new hires with meaningless perks and one-off “immersive” rooms and installations. We believe that in a post-covid world, the correct approach is more nuanced than either of these strategies. A new coffee bar in an authentic corner building for coffee roaster Single Estate. The bar, designed as a long chef’s table made from black terrazzo, stimulates maximal interaction between barista and guest. The sleek design of the new interior combined with the authentic details of the existing building refer to Single Estate's focus on craftsmanship in roasting and serving coffee alike.  The 11-metre long barista's table, following the line of the facade, is the focal point of the space.
