Block Kindergarten

Block Kindergarten is located east of Hongqi Road and north of Zhenchuan Road in Kunshan, Jiangsu Province. The campus occupies approximately 1.01 hectares with a total floor area of about 9,012 square meters and is planned as a 21-class kindergarten. The site is surrounded by a complex urban context. High-rise residential towers stand to the north, with additional housing planned to the east. To the south lie several municipal facilities, including a 110kV substation, a waste transfer station, and an emergency medical center. These conditions present both spatial and psychological challenges: tall residential buildings create a sense of enclosure, while the municipal infrastructure introduces visual and environmental disturbance. Astronomy and Space Science Gallery

Architecture here becomes a cosmic instrument. Conceived as a spatial embodiment of the solar system, the Astronomy and Space Science Gallery transforms abstract astronomical phenomena into an immersive, navigable experience. A luminous central void acts as the sun, anchoring a constellation of orbiting galleries that choreograph the visitor’s journey from the familiar to the infinite. At its core, a spherical planetarium appears to levitate above an amphitheatre, collapsing structure, spectacle, and learning into a single architectural moment—where science is not merely observed, but physically inhabited. Multipurpose Pavilion – Université de Sherbrooke

Located at the heart of Université de Sherbrooke’s main campus, the cafeteria of the Multipurpose Pavilion, originally built in 1993, is reimagined as a new social heart for the university. As one of Quebec’s leading French-language research institutions, with a campus closely tied to its natural setting, it now offers renewed spaces of daily life for students, places to meet, study, share a meal and spend time together from morning to evening. Charles Lanteigne Charles Lanteigne The design is guided by the idea of an appropriable interior landscape, composed of a sequence of atmospheres rather than a single uniform hall. Students are invited to occupy the space in many ways: for a quick meal, collaborative wor... More

CLAUDINE HERMANN SCHOOL

School complex with 10 classes (preschool and elementary), including an after-school program and a restaurant with a dining hall. The school complex appears in the landscape with a controlled formal and material duality:  @Salem Mostefaoui @Salem Mostefaoui The classrooms appear in the form of monolithic pavilions that rhythmically shape the landscape with a sequential façade, both dynamic and systematic, offering a different appearance from every viewpoint, sometimes massive, sometimes transparent. The facades, made of in-situ tinted concrete that gives off a warm and welcoming appearance, are then sandblasted after pouring to expose aggregates, in certain places, thus controlling the final quality.
