Sweet Shop

In the heart of Psyrri, one of Athens' most vibrant neighborhoods, we designed a compact 20 sq.m. sweet shop that feels closer to an architectural installation than a conventional storefront. 314 Architecture Studio 314 Architecture Studio Rather than competing with the area's eclectic rhythm, we introduced soft, curved geometries that create a calming presence.  A central column blends seamlessly into the ceiling and walls, forming a continuous, fluid surface with no hard edges or partitions. 314 Architecture Studio 314 Architecture Studio The facade is lined with ceramic tiles, echoing those found in Athenian homes of the 1950's and 60's-a subtle reference to the city's architectural memory and the handmade deta... P&C HQ

The concept of the ‘architectural boundary’ has long been a compelling topic for exploring the gaps and relationships between buildings and the city. The epidermis, or outer skin, which forms this boundary, functions as more than just a protective shell-it becomes an individual object within the urban landscape and serves as a visual and spatial interface that interacts with its surroundings in multifaceted ways. In this project, the designer sought to move beyond a passive facade, intentionally adding depth and richness to the building’s skin to actively engage with its urban context. This design strategy aimed to reframe the architectural surface as a medium of communication and connection, rather than mere visual orname... More

Walloon Society for Social Credit

The first defining feature of the project site is, of course, its position at the corner of two streets. Corners are strong points in the composition of the urban fabric—they are points of convergence and the beginnings of street connections. In this case, the corner is hollow, empty, awaiting linkage. In view of this specific urban situation, we felt it was appropriate to clearly reconstruct the contours of the block by respecting the existing structural lines and giving form to the corner. RESERVOIR A Thus, on the Boulevard Tirou side, our proposal continues the alignment of the built frontage with the neighboring buildings. On the Rue de l'Écluse side, the façade curves to follow the street’s bend and alig... More
