Casa Nido. Nesting within heritage in Valencia

Occupying a corner plot in Torrefiel -one of Valencia’s most humble neighborhoods- the Nest House is conceived as an exercise in protecting and highlighting the scarce and valuable built heritage still preserved in the streets of this key peripheral district in the city's north. David Zarzoso David Zarzoso David Zarzoso David Zarzoso Indeed, although code regulations allowed us to demolish the existing structure and build a new, the project insisted from the very beginning on preserving the original envelope and seeking shelter within it. It is as if that skin -made of solid brick and lime mortar, held intact over the years- had now become the foundation (or perhapsthe nest) for a new, emergent architecture that r... More

Fluid X Vertical Structural Glazing

Fluid X Vertical is the purest expression of structural glazing, offering uninterrupted walls of glass that create clarity and visual stillness. Designed with no visible frames and floor-to-ceiling spans, it allows architecture to dissolve into the surrounding landscape. The system features a sophisticated clip-in channel mechanism that eliminates the need for screws, ensuring a monolithic and clean finish. Capable of reaching heights of 6 meters, it provides exceptional thermal and acoustic performance, making it ideal for both high-end residential facades and internal partitions that require a seamless, light-filled atmosphere. Akrolithos

This project involved the building expansion of the offices of a mining and rock processing company, as well as the full configuration of the interior structure of its product showroom. The total area of the project covers 3,000 sq.m. and its construction took place from 2020 to 2023. The architectural composition has relied on the reinterpretation of the realm of the Company's quarries through the feeling of hovering at the intercept of the rocky terrain and the absolute sense of freedom of the landscape route. Karen Gkiounasian Karen Gkiounasian Hovering is achieved through the interpenetration of the intermediate level bridge at the junction of the two curved spatial surfaces, made of metal elements on which the exhibits are p... Void Studio spatially reflects Leonara’s energy and dynamism in their latest salon in Mexico

Leonara studio’s Horacio branch, located in the Polanco neighbourhood of Mexico City is an expression of the brand’s everyday activity embedded through materials, textures and form. Designed by Void Studio, the beauty salon is an airy, inspiring, and whimsical space.  Zaickz Moz The idea of movement becomes the design’s core concept. Curved forms define the space; the spiral stairs, iconic mirror arches and playful pendant lights by David Pompa instil dynamism and a sense of flow. Additionally, a subdued palette of pink and pale wooden textures gives the space a soft and delicate feel.  Zaickz Moz The generous use of glass for the exterior and interior establishes a sense of amplitude whil... The Spirit of Palatium

Glass art installation represents the outline of the relics of the Palatium of Mieszko I and his wife Dobrawa in Ostrów Tumski in Poznań, the first Piast dynasty building dating back over 1000 years. ARCHIGLASS by Urbanowicz The genesis of the project goes back to 1999, when a team of archaeologists led by prof. Hanna Kóčki-Krenz from the University of Adam Mickiewicz made an extraordinary discovery of the relics of the palatium right next to the Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary. The concept of showing the outlines of the building in glass was born among archeologists in the Archeological Reserve Genius loci. The architectural project of raising the outline structure about 60 cm above the floor in the form of a wall was... More

The office and hotel complex.

The project of an office and hotel complex in the center of Odessa 2019.I proceeded from the task of carefully inserting a new building into the historical context of the city on the site of an old, emergency building. For increased comfort of the complex and to unload the city center, a multi-level parking has been developed.  Caption Expecting that the city authorities and architects of the city would be skeptical about such a contrasting introduction of the proposed building into the existing historical environment of the city,  I simultaneously developed, without a significant change in the planning solution, the second version in the  Renaissance style with a minimal risalit and the third version with a classical p... Hitachi City Hidaka Elementary School

Hitachi City Hidaka Elementary School is located in Hitachi City, where Hitachi, one of the world's top 500 companies, was founded. Koji Horiuchi Koji Horiuchi Koji Horiuchi The existing school building is located on the south side of the site, and the playground is on the north side. The challenges were to keep classes at the existing school in session while constructing the new building and give careful consideration to the residents of the neighboring area on the north side. In addition, use of the pool and gymnasium had to remain unencumbered. Koji Horiuchi Koji... More

Vertical Loft

Located in the heart of the Greenwich Village historic district in New York City, this project called for the complete renovation of a five- story, 1830’s townhouse. The historic Federal Style façade was carefully preserved during construction, as were a majority of the existing interior floor plates. Behind this masonry face we created a new world centered around light, space, openness, and revelation. New apertures through floors and ceilings channel natural light from the skylight down to the lowest level.   To extend the experience out to the garden and up to the sky, a dramatic four- story wall of glass envelops the back of the house, joining the interior to nature through views out to the rear garden and the existi...
