Sang Tea

Sang Tea transitions from the mountains to the city, evolving from tea drinking in a natural setting to enjoying tea in an urban environment. This shift brings new elements into the brand’s narrative. Urban influences are seamlessly integrated, merging the tranquility of nature with the bustling energy of city streets, evoking a timeless, unhurried sense of life. The space itself has matured from the fresh, vibrant green of the mountains into a more subdued, sophisticated yellow-green, blending the authenticity of nature with the refined tone of urban leisure. Golden Bund Kindergarten

The Golden Bund Kindergarten is located in the historical Liangzhu area to the north-west of central Hangzhou. Its plot has a narrow rectangular shape directly facing the main street and contains both the kindergarten and a retail volume. Besides ensuring large areas of playgrounds on the ground floor, CLOU’s design has carved the project volume into stepped terraces which become balconies for each classroom. Students can enjoy the fresh air at any time of the day right outside their classroom. Colour can give children a sense of space... More

Cubic Gallery

The Rabbit on the Moon Public Plaza in Hangzhou’s outskirt Xiaoshan is a 21,000 sqm outdoor retail centre. It is designed as a neighbourhood hub for interaction among the young families and Seniors living in the surrounding residences. We reacted to the high density of the site by fusing of two familiar types of retail: three story individual Cubes float above two levels of retail terraces with small community support shop units. The Cubes accommodate dining, sports, entertainment and children’s education. The combination of these two retail types offers flexibility for creating an interesting mix of small and large tenants to compliment the stimulating three dimensional street life. The Cubes are connected by a second ground... More

Hangzhou Hut

Hidden in a large tree plantation in the suburbs of Hangzhou is a prefab prototype house that the wellington firm Bonnifait + Giesen designed in collaboration with Jimu, a Chinese design and manufacturing company.MiniHut feels grander than its 36 square metres, thanks to a high stud that contains living areas in the main volume and sleeping areas on a mezzanine. Additional modules, meanwhile, have been designed to serve as entrances, utility sheds and covered decks. And, with one side of the 3×8-metre structure filled with windows, the hut can take advantage of views and have a connection to the outdoors – benefits one might associate with something much grander than a small prefabricated timber building. The idea was presented at the Green...
