Private Residence | Vadodara, Gujarat | Completed 2023
Tat-Sat Residence is a private bungalow located on Ajwa Road in Vadodara, designed around the philosophy of calm minimalism and timeless materiality. The interiors explore a restrained palette of whites, soft beige flooring, muted greys, and natural veneer textures to create a serene and balanced living environment. The design approach emphasizes clarity of form, subtle material contrasts, and carefully composed spatial proportions that allow the spaces to feel light, uncluttered, and quietly elegant.

The restoration and enhancement of historic buildings are among the most fascinating challenges in interior architecture. When given the opportunity to work on a loft located on the ground floor of a 17th-century villa, originally a former convent, the goal is not only to preserve the authenticity of the place but also to adapt it to contemporary living needs.

The work we propose concerns a residential unit located on the first floor inside a historic and listed building in the ancient center of Verona. The context is characterized by the original characteristics of the seventeenth century building itself, such as the structure equipped with decorated wooden beams, the terracotta flooring preserved and partly taken up with the same hand-worked format, the large tuff portal inside only emphasizes the context in which we operated.
