Perkins Eastman gave new life to a historic building and designed a modern tower to establish a new luxury boutique hotel on New York City’s iconic Fifth Avenue at West 28th Street. The team worked alongside the developers, operators, and PBDW Architects to study this opportunity and create a lifestyle destination. A former bank that was designed in the early 1900s by McKim, Mean & White offered the optimal base. The bank’s historical restoration and the new landmark tower are both suited for the landmark protected neighborhood. Set across the hillside above Vourni Beach on the island of Tinos, Odera Tinos, Autograph Collection is conceived as an architectural intervention deeply rooted in its setting, emerging naturally from the land and establishing a continuous dialogue with it. “Nazuna Kyoto Higashihonganji” is a renovation project of a Kyoto townhouse (machiya) that has stood for over 100 years, located on the main street directly in front of the Goei-do Gate of Higashi Honganji Temple.
