RENOVATION 103

The project involves the renovation of a 1960s apartment overlooking Parco Bolasco in Castelfranco Veneto. A central volume, clad in color, organizes the home and defines its perceptual structure: it concentrates the service spaces, separating and at the same time connecting the living and sleeping areas, becoming the fulcrum around which the space is articulated. STUDIO RONCATO ARCHITETTI STUDIO RONCATO ARCHITETTI The living area opens into a unified, fluid environment, while the sleeping area is constructed as a sequence of thresholds, openings, and glimpses. The layout is no longer merely functional but becomes a tool for orientation and the construction of depth. Warm materials, textured color tones, and natural light define... More

Eden view

In compact spaces colour and texture take on greater significance. For Pac Studio, this reworking of a tired and dated townhouse kitchen and bathroom was also an opportunity to continue our research into colour: How it defines identity, delineates space, affects mood and atmosphere. Here, the bathroom could signal the start of a fresh and sunny day; the kitchen could provide a calming and quiet place to cook in the evening and close the day with a cup of coffee. Caption Caption The starting point was the rearrangement of space for efficiency. The relocated laundry freed up space for an additional guest bathroom. Lifting the ceiling height in the bathroom transformed the sense of space. New doors from the kitchen connect with a lo... More

Z-39

A Live-Work Transformation in Shanghai For architect Wang Zhuoer, the most personal design challenge was not a client brief—it was her own home. Rather than relocating, she chose to stay in the apartment where she grew up and transform it into a combined living and working space, redefining its spatial structure for a more contemporary way of life. Yuuuun Studio Yuuuun Studio Yuuuun Studio Context & Challenge Z-39 is a 170-square-meter duplex apartment in Shanghai that has been home to the family since the 1990s. The original layout consisted of a series of enclosed rooms with clearly separated functions. To accommodate a contemporary live-work lifestyle, the project required a complete reorganization of circulat... More

Prologis Offices

Formerly the home of the Orlando Apollos football franchise, the office space Prologis selected in 2019 was designed as a modern, collaborative workplace that prioritized their team’s health and wellness and provided an exceptional experience for clients. Following this successful renovation, the logistics real estate powerhouse reengaged Baskervill to update their space and design a 2,500-square-foot expansion to support their continued growth. Harry Lim The addition centers on flexibility and community, incorporating a variety of collaborative spaces: huddle rooms for virtual meetings, lounge areas for casual conversations, and a large boardroom that transforms into an entertainment hub. Kenya Chiba Originally built in 1991 as a women’s corporate dormitory, the building contained administrative and communal functions on the ground floor, with 52 private units of approximately 20 square metres each on the upper floors. Coop.M

Coop.M is organised around the idea of openness: spatially, environmentally, and socially. Rather than separating rooms through rigid enclosure, Note Architects use exposed structural elements, movable partitions, and layered thresholds to create a living environment that remains adaptable over time. Kenta Hasegawa The architecture prioritises airflow, flexibility, and connection between spaces, allowing the residence to respond to both climate and evolving family needs. A central design approach involved stripping back the beam finishes to expose the concrete structure beneath. This reveals the geometry of the building while reinforcing a direct relationship between architecture and landscape. The exposed beams establish a continuous... More

An Interior at Giomein Cervinia

co.arch’s project (Andrea Pezzoli and Giulia Urciuoli) in Cervinia is set within the Giomein complex, designed by Mario Galvagni and completed in 1972 on the homonymous promontory, overlooking the Breuil basin and the profile of the Cervino. Conceived during the peak expansion of Alpine tourism—new ski runs, cableways, infrastructure and holiday residences—Giomein interprets the mountain not as scenery but as a morphological and perceptual system against which architecture chooses to measure itself. Francesca Iovene The intervention concerns a domestic interior on the fourth and fifth floors, commissioned by a couple of art collectors. The apartment preserved a strongly defined decorative universe: jacquard fabrics a... More

Márcia Leal Studio

Márcia Leal Studio is an interior renovation of a small commercial space in Jaraguá do Sul, Brazil, conceived as a hair studio that prioritizes experience, permanence, and emotional comfort. Designed for a single professional, the project explores how spatial organization and material choices can transform a neutral interior into an environment with strong identity and a welcoming atmosphere. The layout is structured around a large multifunctional central table, which acts as the social and spatial core of the studio. More than a functional element, the table organizes circulation and daily activities, encouraging moments of pause, conversation, and waiting. All other functions — workstations, reception, storage, pantry... More

Casa California

The main challenge of the project was to transform a closed and fragmented home into an open, bright space connected to the outside, without losing functionality or comfort for family life. The original layout limited the relationship between the rooms and the garden. The house felt small, despite its size, with underused elements such as the outdoor porch, and a lack of passageways and connections between rooms. Sergio Pradana Sergio Pradana Sergio Pradana The project thus became a true and inspiring California Dreaming. We intervened in the social spaces of the house, knocking down walls to free up the floor plan and create a large social space where the kitchen, dining room and living room coexisted without limits, exten... Wagner

This four-storey residence is a terraced house in the heart of Milan. It has a red façade and a secret green garden, hidden within the block. A lung of air and tranquillity that fills the living room on the ground floor with light and colour. To enhance this natural pocket, a large panoramic window has been opened, which acts as a frame for the living room.  Ph. Beppe Brancato - Styling Giulia Taglialatela Grace and ambition make this house a journey to be discovered, dotted with precious memorabilia from the masters of 20th-century design and amazing works of art collected over time. The British taste that envelops the rooms is recognisable in the dusty colours and impeccable taste of the homeowners.  Oriental text... More

Casa Beju

In Holargos, Athens, we were commissioned to transform a compact 43sqm apartment in a 2004 building into a serene, contemporary home. With no architectural elements worth retaining, the project became a full redesign centred around the concept of affordable luxury, as envisioned by the owner. Vasso Paraschi Vasso Paraschi Vasso Paraschi Vasso Paraschi Vasso Paraschi Vasso Paraschi Vasso Paraschi The original layout lacked structure: furniture was scattered, the kitchen merged abruptly with the living room, and there was no space allocated for dining. Baihua Bookstore

Located within the China Kunqu Opera Museum in Suzhou—the birthplace of Kunqu opera—Baihua Bookstore was first established in 1993 as a specialist venue dedicated to this centuries-old theatrical tradition. Recognized by UNESCO as an Intangible Cultural Heritage, Kunqu opera remains central to this bookstore’s identity. Over the decades, however, the original space—just 65 square meters in size and formerly used as a reading room—had fallen into disrepair and gradually devolved into an exit corridor, detached from its cultural roots. Wen Studio When invited to redesign the bookstore in 2024, we saw more than a simple interior renovation. Rather than treating it as a straightforward retrofit, we viewed the... More
