Lijia Kindergarten is located in the Lijia District of the north side of Chongqing, China. Perched on the south bank of Jialing River, the geographical advantage provides an open and beautiful view for the kindergarten. However, due to the restricted right-triangle shape site area, the architect needs to address those problems in the design while also creating as many playful spaces as possible for children. Caption Caption Under the current circumstances, the volumes are piled up like staggered boxes to provide sufficient daily sunlight demand to meet the basic requirements for a kindergarten project. Nursery in Ano Patisia

The nursery is located in the Ano Patisia area of the City of Athens. The architectural study foresees a two-story building with a basement and a roof. The ground floor covers the needs of infants, while the first floor accommodates the toddlers.Due to the rather unfavorable geometry of the plot on top of the specific building requirements of a nursery, the design of the building was made with the clear aim of creating open and bright spaces that will serve the functionality of the nursery at the same time. For this reason, the central element of the design is the atrium, which plays multiple roles: it creates a clear programmatic separation of the main areas of the building [administrative spaces and children's spaces], while allowing at t... A Multi-Story Kindergarten Cluster |

The city of Givatayim is currently undergoing an accelerated process of urban rejuvenation. The traditional single-story school and kindergarten structures are being replaced with multi-story buildings that incorporate elevated kindergartens and vibrant courtyards. This approach maximizes space efficiency and creates an engaging learning environment for children. ON 239

The corner house ON 239 completes the master plan “Breite Furt” at the intersection Breitenfurter Straße / Walter-Jurmann-Gasse. Only through high density, property-related additional costs could be compensated. Four independent buildings break up the classic perimeter block development, resulting in a compact, dense ensemble with a kindergarten, residential lanes, courtyard and common areas with a swimming pool on the roof. Andreas Buchberger Despite the tight budget, urban planning supports an attractive, architectural façade to initiate high-quality urbanization of the Breitenfurter Straße. The spatial design of the building creates a varied experience of views, forecourts, green areas and connections... More

Kindergarten in Opole / Malina

We aimed to create inspiring and stimulating kindergarten’s space, to foster kids growth and development. Building acts as a „vassel” for young human beings, where its form casts user’s behavior, sense of security and self-esteem. It offers incentives for joy and exploration. To be a window into their future, to understand the world and build their own identity. While working on the project we focused on maintaining existing buildings layout with a yard in between. That is to expose different building’s proportions and historical changes with its specific details. We introduce new functions that connect all, while keeping them autonomous. Following program requirements, the main existing block has been extend... More
