Project “Lux Cave” involved the conversion of a 200 m2 warehouse into an entertainment area for personal use. The owner envisaged the construction of an entertainment space that aligns with their hobbies, such as watching sports or playing video games, and hanging out with friends. Moreover, the space was also intended for get-togethers and parties. The new space would include a bar with billiards and other games, a recording studio, a control room, a private cinema, and a gaming room. An outdoor Pool House in Surrey, England, was in dire need of a remodel. Fourth Dimension Lighting Design was tasked with the lighting design for the project, and with the help of MP Lighting’s best-selling fixtures L01 & L337, the end result is a stunningly lit pool house that can be used year-round, even during those notoriously gloomy months of England. Stainless Steel L01s were cleverly placed behind the pool to create a backdrop of lights behind the pool, the finish of the fixtures blends in with the light-coloured tiles to create a seamless look indoors. The space consists of two main areas: first, the set; an open space of neutral colors and a floor finished with polished concrete. Second, the entrance, office and dressing room space; a warmer area of pine wood and polycarbonate. The trapezoidal-base-closet of natural iron is the major feature of the set area and generates an opening of the field of vision towards the set; one of its pine wood drawers serves as storage for the photography equipment. Passing the entrance, one can enter the bathroom through a corner-shaped wooden door.
