The Working Together Master Plan is located on 120 acres in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. Home to a non-profit residential treatment facility, the organization’s principles became our design touchstone as we worked to create a campus that centers the occupant’s experience. The site was formerly a bastion of civic and liberal political community, a history whose continuity we sought to uphold in our plan. The former henequen hacienda of San Antonio Hool is for its quality of spaces and construction, a gem of the hacienda architecture of Yucatan. The estate is listed as a heritage and of cultural significance for the city of Mérida and Yucatán. The intervention project to rescue it from a state of neglect in which it was found, thanks to the vision of the Diaz Mantecon family, was implemented by the architecture studio reyes ríos + Larrain architects. KPF master planned the entire downtown San Francisco development, engaged in preliminary design work to secure entitlements, and is the architect of the site’s office tower, 415 Natoma. 5M SoMA is one of the first master plans in San Francisco to reconceive a suburban tech office model for an urban setting. The plan integrates the development’s variety of programs with the open space essential to the vitality of a 24/7 neighborhood. At the request of the City of Vantaa our competition winner of Housing reform 2018 “Lähiäsinfonia” / “Suburban Symphony” has been further developed in this spacial plan. The Hakunila City Center II spacial plan is based on public transport, especially the planned Vantaa tram, a functional and attractive network for pedestrians and cyclists, as well as diverse blue and green surroundings. Northerly Island transforms a man-made peninsula on Chicago’s lakefront into a 91- acre living ecosystem, a public park only twenty-first century knowledge could build.
