The Tambi Dialogue

Located in Palu City, Central Sulawesi, The Tambi Dialogue is a residential project that reinterprets traditional vernacular architecture through a contemporary lens. Set on a 374 m² plot with its longest axis oriented West to East, the site is situated in a tropical region that receives consistent sunlight and reaches temperatures as high as 39°C. These environmental conditions shaped the building’s orientation, material choices, and passive design strategies. Royal Palm

From a distance, Royal Palm reads as layered planes of stone, wood, water, and glass stepping down a mountainside in Paradise Valley, Arizona. Its modern design extends in a series of horizontal volumes towards the valley below, opening to an infinity-edge swimming pool, and outdoor living spaces for entertaining and resort-style living. At the heart of the design is a light-filled main floor where the kitchen, dining room, living room, bar and wine display share one open plan. Designed for the contemporary Brentwood lifestyle, Bonhill brings together open plan living, abundant natural light, and a central outdoor pool terrace at the heart of its design.  From the street, a visually textured exterior of stacked stone, warm wood, and expansive glass beneath deep roof overhangs lends the home a sense of sheltered privacy, while it remains remarkably open.  Inside, the design is exceptionally cohesive. A young couple, in anticipation of starting a family, desired a new family home that reflected their cultural background and individual taste.
