The Long Island Residence is an expansive and lush 24,000 square foot French style abode surrounded by Italian garden with sweeping views of the NYC skyline. When Giusi Mastro, Founder and Owner of ORA Studio NYC met the client, the exterior home design and look were already established by the client, who wanted to emulate a French style mansion that he had in his mind and his heart all his life. Alex Gorlin’s renovation of a penthouse studio in a mid-century modern building in downtown Manhattan simplified and opened up the formerly cluttered floor plan. Natural hardwood floors and clean white surfaces serve as a neutral backdrop to a collection of bold pieces of furniture and artwork.  Eric Petschek Gorlin’s inspiration for the transformation came from Eileen Grey’s villa E-1027, a Modernist house that she built in the south of France in 1929. Architects Roman and Williams incorporated tambour panels along the bar front to enhance a rich interior clad in a black and white tile floor. Leather bar chairs, a steel counter, tile walls, and and hanging lights combine together to create the feel of a true classical American eatery. More

In the heart of the Wall Street financial district, Lavazza’s New York offices, approximately 800 sqms, bring the distinctive character of the Italian coffee manufacturer to “The Big Apple.” Thanks to vast glazing, the urban landscape bursts into the workplace, thus creating constant interaction between dynamic city-life and the office interiors. In May 2019 Andrew Kreps Gallery opened its new space designed by studioMDA in Tribeca, NY. With this space, the new Andrew Kreps Gallery is joining the rising community of galleries in Tribeca, including the studioMDA built Bortolami Gallery. The 9,000 sq. ft. gallery space occupies a historic Tribeca building with 15’ ceilings, multiple exhibition spaces, and viewing rooms. The gallery houses a space that features a 30 ceiling height, providing ample space for large scale artwork and installations. More
