If we expect food to be tasty, the restaurant it’s served in should be tastefully designed, shouldn’t it? Especially if the restaurant in question is one whose very name – Umami – means exactly that in Japanese: a savory taste. Which is why the design of the new Umami restaurant, the second in Zagreb and located in Vrbani, was inspired by the engagement of all five senses combined under the slogan of Feed your curiosity.

PdP Pulled Plaster Panels
Our PdP Pulled Plaster Panels were born out of real-world material experimentation in our Gerken Residence project, completed in 2015. In developing this prototype,
we moved fluidly between digital modeling and full-scale mockups to create a dynamic geometry that facilitates unlimited layout possibilities. The panel’s geometry is very much intertwined with the process of its making, as each was manually pulled and used to generate a mold for casting the final panels. Each distinct geometry evokes momentum and weight from its creation, uniting the artisan craft of its fabrication with a modern and sophisticated aesthetic. Fabric is designed for easy removal and ends in a steel rods, which gives an extra weight and keeps the material smooth and equal.
Swallow table is adapted for comfortable transportation - legs are easily consist in the cnc cut places at the bottom of the tabletop.

The L profile furniture collection is the result of an exercise that Mezzo Atelier makes starting from an imperative, to only use the metallic L profile to structure furniture.
The closings are then made with other materials like wood, plywood, stones or even tiles, offering multiple variations without loosing the simple construction and aesthetic principle. The materials are kept as natural and raw as possible, allowing them to have their artisanal and handmade character. There are several pieces of furniture developed with this concept: tables, chairs, bookcases, dressers and benches for instance.

Dream is the expression of a clear and clean design, attentive to the details that make the difference between a normal product and a successful one.
Details lovers can definitely notice that the body is developed on an elliptically shape going upward with an external mould shape, thus aesthetically removing the junction radius between body and spout. The spout is extremely thin and tapered towards the invisible aerator. The ultra flat 2 mm base is a modern and hi-tech feature.
All of these factors give elegance and harmony to the product.
